Every January and February, our famous scion exchanges are held at local chapters. There are generally demonstrations of various grafting techniques as well. Sharpen up your knife and create your very own frankentree. Dates and locations will be posted on the site as the time nears.

I have a very rare plum, that I grafted from my grandfathers farm in Menlo Park in the 1980s. My tree is old and dying, but still producing a few delicious plums I believe that I may have the only tree of this species. To save the species, I would like to have someone graft some scions onto other fruit trees. At age 90, I can no longer graft. Please connect me with someone experienced ingrafting. Thank you, John, Kiefer, Lafayette, 925-284-5497.

I have many successful grafts on many fruit tree species, including plums. I’m interested in your scions. I’m in Prescott Valley, AZ. Do you have any left?

Anyone willing to part with avocado scion? I am in Maryland and not many Avocado growers here! I have a number of 1 year old saplings, a 6–7-year-old from seed that refuses to die and a 3-year-old that’s about 6 foot tall. All in pots (indoor now under lights). Looking to try my skill at grafting avocado and maybe pick a few someday. Spring around here starts in late March/April. Ideally Mexicola Grande and/or Sir Prize. Would be very appreciative.

Does anyone have a real Bregamot Orange.

Have you come across imposters?
Your question implies there are some ‘Bergamot’ orange trees that are not the “real ones”. The true type is a renowned and quite ancient variety, with such an iconic fragrance.
Depending on where you live, local retail garden centers (“nurseries”) may have it in stock, or should be able to special order it for you from wholesale citrus nurseries.
If you want to graft your own tree, California only allows propagation of citrus from certified disease free sources. The biggest diversity of budwood of citrus varieties is available through the Citrus Clonal Protection Program (CCPP), with over 250 varieties:

‘Bergamot sour orange hybrid’ is offered by CCPP, and is described here:

other options for accessing budwood, or grafted trees, are noted here:

Good luck!
