In the New Mexican summers, the Tree Cholla blossoms with beautiful pink flowers. After pollination, these Cholla cacti grow prickly fruit. Though they are not commonly eaten due to their spines, they are a local cuisine in the state of New Mexico. Once the spines are removed, these flower buds can help with several health conditions, such as urinary tract infection and constipation. -By: Abdullah Shah
